Abort Fetch Requests to Prevent UI Race Conditions

Multiple rapid requests = stale UI updates.

const controller = new AbortController();
fetch(url, { signal: controller.signal });
controller.abort();

Why this matters
Prevents outdated responses from overwriting newer state.
